Why the cool patina on the dials:  We don’t like refurbished dials, so we don’t sell refurbished dials.  We like patina on the dials as it gives the watch character.

How Waterproof are Vintage watches:  Zero percent waterproof.  Vintage watches are not waterproof in any way.  Most have snap on back covers with no rubber gaskets in the entire watch.  The crown and chronograph pushers have no gaskets.  I take my vintage watches off for any rain or sprinkle, any sweaty work outs, and even mowing the lawn.

How accurate are Vintage watches:  You may experience a loss or gain of as much as 1-2 minutes per day with vintage watches.  This is not an issue as most are wind up so we just adjust the time every day or two when winding.

How often does a Vintage watch need to be wound:  Most vintage watches even back to the 1930's will stay wound for approximately 40 hours.

Have Norman Vintage Watches been serviced recently:  Not unless explicitly written.   We don't service our watches until they stop working or perform incorrectly.  These are vintage watches, most are 80 plus years old, we do not know the service history.  Most vintage watches do not have shock protection, refrain from bumping, dropping or other violent actions.

What kind of testing is done before sale:  Before our watches are put up for sale we put each through a comprehensive set of our in-house developed tests: functional, stability and normal use tests.  The purchasers own wearing habits may result in different accuracy results.
